Weekly Overseas UTAU Forum News 1

Before we actually begin this post, I want to redirect everyone who does not know what UTAU is to this: http://utau.wikia.com/wiki/UTAU_wiki:Introduction_to_UTAU

Welcome to the very first newspost of OSUF. Made and powered by the residents of the Overseas UTAU Forum!

Anyway, we are planning to have this news-thing every weekend (sunday or saturday) on our blog, our Figure.fm account and our YouTube-Channel. (Altough the video version won't be as big as the text version.) Why? Because we think overseas UTAUs and their users deserve more attention and credit than they are getting now... But, there's a catch. The information, videos and voices you are about to discover are all from our forum. No other source. Why? Because this is OSUF... Not someone who randomly gets videos from Youtube... So, if you want to get featured sometime... Get postin'! (Yes, shameless self-advertising.)

Moving on to the first subject of this weekend. News from UTAU World!

People have been waiting for this, but it's finally coming, UTAU for on MAC! The program will be called UTAU-MAC (behold the creativity!) and has been announced on the blog of Ameya, the founder of UTAU. Great news for people using Wine, Melodyne or other programs like these. There is a catch (of course) we don't know the exact release-date yet. But, for people wanting to stay alert on this, heree is Ameya's blog: http://utau2008.blog47.fc2.com/blog-category-10.html

The second subject of this week, new releases on voicebanks!

Of course, this week's release-list might be a bit jaded, since I don't remember clearly when everyone was released exactly, but that will be fixed next week.

First voice, we have KANNA. The newest member of the Skeyiloid, with a wonderful soothing voice. This is her release video, a cover of Relics:

Her voice can be downloaded here: http://www.4shared.com/file/XPg9r8l_/KANNA.html
KANNA's voice is hiragana-only, so she needs to be converted for some users.

Second, we have great Kurisu Koorine (Koorine Kurisu for those preferring last name first). He recently got an Act 2. The video you are seeing is still his Act 1 though, since there is no sample of his Act 2 on YouTube as of yet. It's a cover of Saihate.

His Act 2 is downloadable here: http://www.mediafire.com/?j8ghf8tga93jjt4

Third one, amazing Hayao Misakura (Misakura Hayao for those preferring last name first)! He got a new act, Act 3, and a Soft voicebank! Two releases, and his creator is still planning to release his VCV and English voicebanks! You can listen to his Act 3 here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nmyHuSykh2Q
His Act 3 is downloadable here:http://www.4shared.com/file/oYAmC4dc/Misakura_Hayao_ACT3.html
His soft voice can be heard here:

And can be downloaded here: http://www.4shared.com/file/wz4jHmtd/Misakura_Hayao_ACT1-SOFT-.html

Fourth, the lovely Karen Mokkene (Mokkene Karen for those preferring last name first). This deep-sounding female went to Act 2 (A huge improvement!) and can be listened to here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67onIOwoKvI
Her voice can be downloaded here: http://www.4shared.com/file/P-QnUVJ2/Mokkene_Karen_SECOND.html

And lastly, cute and loveable Luna Ichine! (Ichine Luna for those preferring last name first). Luna went to Act 4.2 (because Act 4 was lost) and you can hear her here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lmBVE7JMZM4
Luna's Act 4.2 can be downloaded here: http://www.4shared.com/file/86GP0T1x/IchineLuna42.html

So, that's it for recent releases, but we are not done yet! We also have a new release on .UST.

This Chaining Intention .UST has been made by Kenji-B. The song is sung by aGi-Mayu.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=taQdgqJm-Hg
The .UST can be downloaded here: http://www.4shared.com/file/wI06XUhN/Chaining_Intention-not-so-huge.html
The pack also includes a .VSQ (for Vocaloid2-users) a MIDI (for Vocaloid-users), a karaoke-file and the lyrics. Please credit Kenji-B when you use these files.

Next, some great videos submitted to our forums last week!

Please consider watching these!

And now, for the last, and best part of this newspost: The UTAU Spotlight! This week, Iiki Koe!

Iiki Koe (Koe Iiki, for those that I don't need to mention anymore...) is an UTAU from Russia, and part of the Slavik-group. (Her name is iiki, not liki.) Her voice sounds young and cute and her latest Act is v.03.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hw_tr0QThFo
Iiki is quite popular for both her voice and design. It is said to be cute and of high quality, something that (sometimes) needs to be searched for in the overseas community. Her character item is a mandarin.
Iiki's Wiki-page can be found here: http://utau.wikia.com/wiki/Iiki_Koe
Iiki's voice can be downloaded here:
http://www.4shared.com/file/IX0l3eWi/Iiki_Koe_v03.html

So, that's it for this week. We hope to see you again next week. Or, even better, to see you around on the forums sometime! Untill then!

(All the UTAUs, videos, songs and other files used in this post belong to their creators. I claim none of it!)
